💙 Meet McGuire — Your New Best Friend Is Waiting McGuire is one of those dogs who really, really loves his people. Adults, kiddos—he doesn’t know a human stranger. Give him a little affection and you’ll quickly understand why so many of us have fallen completely in love with him. He’s affectionate, silly and incredibly endearing. He does the cutest little hop when he’s excited, loves burrowing under blankets and pillows, and is happiest curled up close to someone he loves. He’s a champion cuddler who would gladly be your sidekick for everyday life. 🥹 McGuire’s perfect home is actually pretty simple: a calm, predictable home where he can be the only pet and spend plenty of time with his people. He’s been working on becoming more comfortable when he’s alone, and we’re seeing progress! He does best with routine, a quieter environment and someone willing to continue helping him build that confidence gradually. And that’s really what McGuire needs—someone willing to meet him where he is and help him keep moving forward. The rescue has loved this boy fiercely and worked incredibly hard to help him. But as wonderful as his little lighthouse at Oz is, it’s still a rescue environment. McGuire deserves the peace and consistency of a home—and, more than anything, he deserves his person.
