Meet Paxton 🤎🐾 Paxton is a beautiful young boy at around 2½ years old and about 50 pounds — and everyone who meets him seems to ask the same question… How has he not been adopted yet? Paxton came into rescue as a very young puppy after experiencing more than any dog should. He had been burned! He lived with uncertainty and fear. Despite a difficult start and recovering from injuries early in life, he has grown into such a loving, resilient dog. His foster describes him simply: “He’s a really good dog.” And honestly, that may describe him best. Paxton is affectionate, playful, and happiest when he gets to be part of everyday life. He enjoys playing with his dog friends, soaking up attention from his people, and then settling in for cuddle time. He has a great balance of energy — medium energy most of the time with bursts of playful excitement. Paxton can be a little cautious with brand-new situations, which makes sense for a dog who hasn’t always had consistency in life. But with calm leadership, patience, and reassurance, he settles beautifully and continues to build confidence. His ideal home is one that appreciates who he is: a sweet, loving dog who thrives with stability, kindness, and people who help him feel safe while encouraging him to enjoy the world. Paxton has already shown us how resilient and adaptable he is. Now he just needs the family willing to say, you’re home.
